DIVINE TRANSFORMATION (Ezekiel 34:1-22; John 10:7-16)

Introduction. Let me me assure you that whether the world likes or not, God has empowered each and every one of us to prosper (3 John 2). The 1st thing God did when He created us was to bless us (Gen. 1:27-28). We are extra-ordinary people (Ps.8:4-6). We are destined for a supernatural life (1 Cor. 2:9).                            If we have such immeasurable blessings, why do we need Divine Transformation? It is because many people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The two lessons talk of the Shepherds. They are those who take care...

YOU ARE SET FREE (ISAIAH 56:1-12; LUKE 13:10-17)

Introduction. The Sabbath is a day of freedom: To honour and glorify God.To set us free from (sin; sickness; destruction; physical, spiritual, material and financial lack and poverty); To enjoy the loving kindness and tender mercy of God (Ps. 103:1-4). The two lessons of today show that rather than being truly free in Christ, we are still in a state of religious bondage: Church leaders are legalistic (not Christ-like) about the Sabbath and church rules over-burden members. The worshippers are in danger of being too casual about the ways and times that they honour and glorify God. 1st Lesson (Isaiah 56:1-12)...

A CALL TO REPENTANCE (Hosea 14: 1-9; Romans 11: 29-36)

Introduction God has wonderful plans for every one of us (1Cor. 2:9). But many are not occupying the blessed position God placed us. The challenge is the sin of backsliding. Backsliding means to turn away from God in the heart and to serve other gods (Idols). This is a serious disease that affects the soul. Marks of backsliding (Deut. 29:18-19) Laughing at sin.Making light of evil.Walking after the imaginations of the heart.Living a life of self-gratification and sensual lust. God’s Judgment No mercy. His fierce anger (Heb. 10:26 & 31). Repentance is a serious event. “I tell you, Nay: but, except...

MESSAGE OF COMFORT (Nahum 1:1-14; Ephesians 6:10-20)

Introduction “18We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness”. (1John 5:18-19). Today, I have come to give you a message of comfort. It means to stop them suffering and make them strong. SAVED BY GRACE (ISAIAH 27: 1-13; HEBREW 2: 1-13)

Introduction God has wonderful plans for every one of us (1Cor. 2:9). The 1st thing God did when He created man and woman was to bless them (Gen. 1:27-28).The Psalmist confirms that we are extra-ordinary people (Ps. 8:4-6) If we have such immeasurable blessings, why are people suffering, in captivity and bondage? It is because of iniquity, transgression and sin. “And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they...

PURSUE AND OVERTAKE (EXODUS 15:1-10; 1 PETER 3:8-13)

Introduction. The two lessons address the topic “Pursue and Overtake”. There is a warfare going on between God and Satan; good and evil; light and darkness. We are the battle ground in every aspect of life (Eph. 6:12-13). Your success (ability to overtake) depends on whose side you are on as well as the strategy you adopt (how you pursue). The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my desire shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them(Exodus 15:9) The motive and result This is the boast...

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (ISAIAH 57:11-21; MATT. 20:1-16)

Introduction. The stories in the 1st lesson and 2nd lesson are about the Kingdom of Heaven. Today God is using the ways of the Israelites and the parable of Jesus to teach us how to attain Eternal life. Not all that calls me Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of God (Matt 7:21).Many are called but few are chosen (Matt.22:14). 1st Lesson (Isaiah 57:11-13) Despite all that God promised and did for the children of Israel, they were very ungrateful and disobedient to God. They lived morally degraded lives. They did not fear God.They did not remember God.They did not...

PROMISE, PROBLEM AND PROVISION EXODUS 15:22-27; MATT: 15:32-39

Introduction. God has very wonderful promises for each and every one of us (1 Cor. 2:9). The first thing God did when He created mankind was to bless them (Gen 1:27-28). But due to the problems and difficulties of this life, many people are grumbling and murmuring. God says I should tell you that, if you trust completely in Him, He is going to turn all your reproach into glory and your sorrow into joy (Is. 60:15) Whenever, God makes you a promise, get ready to battle because, that is when problems and difficulties would arise. How you respond to...

Introduction. Once you were not a people but now you are the people of God (1 Peter 2:10). It is therefore our duty to preach the gospel to others and bring them into the family of God in respective of race, class, sex, nation, kindred, people and tongue. This will enable them also to enjoy the blessings of Jehovah (Gal. 3:22-29). CCC Hymn 622: Behold the work God assign me. 1st Lesson: Isaiah 56:1-12 In the 1st lesson, Prophet Isaiah strongly advises us that we must be righteous and persuade other people to accept this Christian way of life (to...
